algo circularity
Over the past five years, algo circularity has evolved into a high-efficiency system for algae-based biofuel production, combining biology, automation, and engineering. It uses sunlight, CO₂, aeration, and intelligent controls to grow algae in outdoor environments with minimal energy input. Submersible lighting and flow technologies enhance growth conditions, while AI and sensors continuously adjust environmental parameters. Automated harvesting connects with conversion systems, where wet biomass is processed into biocrude through thermal methods, then upgraded and refined into usable fuels using conventional refining infrastructure.
proof of concept
Our proof-of-concept facility in Northern Australia has been instrumental in refining the algo circularity system. It has provided valuable feedback, data, and analytics, while allowing us to test and iterate on key variables such as sensor types, tank shapes, tank sizes, lighting configurations, and flow dynamics. This hands-on experimentation has helped validate system performance in real-world conditions and informed improvements across cultivation, harvesting, and conversion processes.
